Birthdays weren’t celebrated in China as much as in western culture. However, nowadays, the Chinese celebrate birthdays with family or friends by inviting them for dinner. In the past, Chinese celebrate birthdays after the first month, the first year and since 30th birthdays you celebrate them every decade.
During birthdays you eat noodles (寿面) that symbolize long life.
