Today is 22.10’2020, Cathay Pacific announce a piece of sad news that Cathay Dragon ceased operations after 35 years of service. Dragonair (Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited) was founded in 1985. I didn’t know about the existence of Cathay Dragon until my flight from Beijing to London have been cancelled due to coronavirus outbreak. I am glad that flight haven’t been cancelled despite the attempt to go to a strike organised by Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Flight Attendants Association. I was happy that it didn’t affect our flight. Therefore, it was a sad decision, I understand that Cathay Pacific need to make tough decisions in the fight for survival.
