Preparations to travel to China

This is my list of useful tips and advices from my experience with flying to China. I hope you will find them useful too.

  1. Do make a copy of your passport, driving licence and/or ID card and email them to yourself. It’s also a good idea to take photos of these and save them to the camera on your phone in case you don’t have internet access when you get to your destination.
  2. Buy Travel guide or download from internet
  3. Take Dictionary with you or install app that has ability to work offline and do not depend on Google or other banned services in China.
  4. Buy some medicine for diarrhoea, ache and anti-vomit stuff.
  5. Mini first-aid kit.(Put to check-in lugagge as some items will not go in hand luggage like scissors.
  6. Learn how to switch off roaming in your smartphones.
  7. Embassy contact details.
  8. If is  adventure left travel details to friend or family.
  9. Arrange health and travel insurance.
  10. Book your vaccinations.
  11. Do place essentials (PJs, toothbrush, toothpaste) at the top of your bag if you’re landing at night so you don’t have the hassle of unpacking everything when you arrive at your destination.
  12. Do pack your heaviest items (e.g. shoes, jeans) in the bottom of your wheelie suitcase. You’ll find it’s much easier to roll as the weight will be more evenly distributed.
  13. Never join the security queue with kids in.
  14. Don’t waste unused space – roll your clothes instead of folding. They’ll wrinkle less and you’ll have much more room in your luggage to fit in any extras you pick up while you’re away.
  15. Eating lots of garlic helps body fight bacteria that can be found in food.
  16. If you struggle with digestion is to drink lemon before go to sleep or after wake up and eat apple.
