USS stands for underground’s secret search, and it is about exploring things around London’s underground station. Read more about it in my introduction: https://dominiksymonowicz.com/2017/07/07/uss-dominik-underground-secrets-search-introduction/

I visited this station during my reconnaissance mission to explore the east part of London. My route from home to home with stops at Marylebone, Edgware Road, West Ham, East Ham, Hornchurch, Upminster Bridge, Upminster, Romford, Forest Gate, Stratford, Epping and Theydon Bois.
This station is in zone 6 and belongs to London Borough of Havering which is in the east part of the London.
This station was open on 1885 but it was served by District line since 1902 . I visited this station on 19.01’2019. At the time of writing this blog, I visited 32 stations this year (11%). Since I started this project I visited 50 stations (18%) and I passed 103 stations. (38%). I passed 81% stations of District line so far.
Trivia:
- The station is owned by Network Rail.
- District line service withdrawn 1905 to 1932.
Upminster looks average. I was struggle to find anything exciting but
I couldn’t find anything cafe or restaurant while I did quick research and I haven’t see anything while I was there. It doesn’t mean there is nothing there. I just didn’t find it.
When I did research about walks nearby … I found walk called Upminster Circular that details can be found here: http://www.wildessex.net/walks/EL4.html.
Note: All resources I used to gather knowledge I will keep on the introduction page (https://dominiksymonowicz.com/2017/07/07/uss-dominik-underground-secrets-search-introduction/)
